'Scream' trivia and fun facts

Like the movie 'Scream' was influenced and a bit inspired by the Gainesville Ripper, the series is a bit inspired by the Sheila Eddy case.

The original Scream film was the winner of "Best Film" At The 1997 MTV Movie Awards. 18 years later, MTV decided to make Scream the TV series in honor of the fact.

For all the scenes Emma (Willa Fitzergerlad) is on the phone talking to the killer on the other line, the voice on the phone was actually one of the assistant directors, who just read the lines in the room. She had no idea what the killer's voice was going to sound like until she watched the final cut.

Riley Marra was named to give an homage to Tatum Riley, the main character's best friend from the original movie.

Every episode of Season 2 are named after a horror movie.
