'Marmalade Boy' trivia and fun facts

Wataru Yoshizumi in 2013 created a 'Marmalade Boy' sequel entitled 'Marmalade Boy Little', which does not achieve the same success as its predecessor.

TV series, produced between 1994 and 1995 came to Spain in 1998, being broadcasted on the public channel TVE's La 2 in the afternoon. Against all odds, it became a great success of audience, one of the most memorable animation TV series of Japanese animation of 90's with 'Dragon Ball' and 'Sailor Moon'.

The author of the original manga, Wataru Yoshizumi, had planned to create a completely different ending to which there was both the graphic novel and television series. She planned to make Miki and Yuu blood brothers, which would have caused them to separate and had to rebuild their lives with other people. This did not like the editor, who asked her to create "a happy ending" which is finally there was it.
