Saga The Mummy

The librarian Evy O'Connell (Rachel Weisz) awakens 'the creature' when she decide to read the book of the dead because "no harm ever came from reading a book". Thats how starts the trilogy of 'The Mummy' in which the explorer 'Rick' O'Connell and his family are the only ones who can stop this monster who does not like cats at all.

Brendan Fraser stars in this saga that lost much of its charm when Rachel Weisz decided to get off and leave her role in the hands of Maria Bello, actress that plays the wife of Fraser in the third installment.

Without the chemistry of the couple played by Fraser and Weisz 'The Mummy. The Tomb of the Dragon Emperor' grossed less than their two previous installments putting an end to the saga that also inspire a spin off.

'The Scorpion King', film based on the character of Dwayne Johnson that appears in the second part of 'The Mummy Returns', was released before the last film also disappointing at the box office as it grossed about 200 million less than 'The Mummy' worldwide.
