Saga The Hobbit
The cinematographic saga of 'The Hobbit' is based on the samesake book of the english author J.R.R. Tolkien. The plot is set sixty years before the beggining of the first book of 'The Lord of the Rings' trilogy 'The Fellowship of the Ring', in which tells the story of Bilbo Baggins, a hobbit from the Shire that has to go on a quest alongside thirteen dwarves to get Erebor back from Smaug, the dragon and how he ended up having in his possesion the One Ring, the main element for the development of 'The Lord of the Rings' trilogy.
Peter Jackson, who directed 'The Lord of the Rings' trilogy, is also the director of these three new movies set on the Middle Earth, replacing Guillermo del Toro.
The first movie 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey' was released in 2012. 'The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug' in 2013 and the the third and last 'The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies' was premiered on December 2014.
These three 'The Hobbit' movies were shot and premiered with IMAX and 3D HFR technology.
