Saga Superman
The first adaptation of the famous DC Comics character came to the big screen in the late 40s. Kirk Alyn gave life to the Superman directed by Spencer Gordon Bennet and Thomas Carr that was forgotten by the time Christopher Reeve took the role for the adaptation directed by Richard Donner in 1978.
The first adventure of Reeve, focusing on the childhood the hero and his early years as a defender of justice, won the audience that two years later could witnesses the triumph of the love between Clark Kent, the man behind the cape, and Lois Lane (Margot Kidder). A romance that would be threatened by criminals arrived from Krypton.
Then the cinema seemed the ideal place to tell the adventures of this superhero, who soon returned with a third installment in which Superman, affected by synthetic Kryptonite, has to fight his own alter ego.
Twenty years later we get to watch again this iconic character in his return to the big screen thanks to the director Bryan Singer with 'Superman Returns (Return)'.
Brandon Routh and Kate Bosworth got the roles for the Kent-Lane couple in a film that grossed over 300 million worldwide, revitalizing Superman and promising more adventures.
A decade later the promise would be fulfilled thanks to the film 'Batman v Superman: The dawn of Justice'.
