Saga Spy Kids
The 'Spy Kids' series are four American/Spanish action movies created, written and directed by Robert Rodriguez. The main plot of the films consists on the adventures of the Cortez siblings who follow the steps of their parents and get involved into the family business as spies. They're highly influenced by the James Bond saga.
These movies have a strong Hispanic references as its director has Mexican descendants. The official languages during the film are both English and Spanish. The 'Spy Kids' series had an official budget of 154 million dollars for all four movies and an over 550 million dollars worldwide grossing. During the production of the movies new technologies were used such as HD digital shooting and the creation of 3-D effects for the third movie in particular.
The first movie 'Spy Kids' was released in 2001, 'Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams' in 2002, 'Spy Kids 3: Game Over' in 2003 and ten years from the first one, 'Spy Kids: All the Time in the World' was released in 2011.
