Saga Police Academy
The most clumsy and adorable group of aspiring officers the law that the cinema has ever seen was born in the mid-80's under the direction of Hugh Wilson, in a film that focused on the figure of Carey Mahoney (Steve Guttenberg), a criminal that chooses the police academy to avoid prison. The opportunity presented itself to this repeat offender when the new mayor of the city, desperate to put a stop to the crime wave, determined that no matter your sex, race, physical or mental condition to join the force, something that encourages an eclectic and bizarre group of candidates run for the future of law enforcement. Meanwhile Mahoney makes every effort to get kicked of the academy until he discovers that he would like to be a policeman, a feeling that create a bond between him and the other candidates. Since that first adventure the saga has continued with it success to the point of getting seven films, a TV series and a live-action animation, that led this team of peculiar policemen to places as unexpected as Miami Beach or Moscow, under the direction of filmmakers like Jim Drake, Jerry Paris, Alan Metter or Peter Bonerz.
