Saga Doraemon

Doraemon is the main character from the Japanese manga created by Fujiko Fujio. It is also the name of the whole audiovisual saga that tells the story of Doraemon, a cosmic cat who travels back in time from the 22nd Century to aid Nobita Nobi, a lazy pre-teen who gets himself in trouble day after day, by the request of Sewashi Nobi, his grandson, to make a better life and a better future for himself and therefore for his descendants.

The first manga was released in 1969 and since then it has become one of the bestsellers mangas of all times. Eventually they created an animated series for tv: the original one was released in 1973, its successor was released in 1979 and they created a new version of 'Doraemon' in 2005. There are also lots of video games based on the adventures of Doraemon and Nobita.

Doraemon has also reached to the cinematographic industry. From 1980 to 2004 they released 25 featured films, one by year. Since 2005 they've released eleven brand-new films based on the new 'Doraemon' generation.
