Saga Che
The biographical series on the figure of Che Guevara, directed by Steven Soderbergh ('Erin Brockovich', 'Magic Mike') and starring Benicio Del Toro, has two films centered on the Cuban revolution from which Guevara was ideologue and commander. In 'Che' we witness how Che and a band of Cuban exiles raise an army to end the regime of dictator Fulgencio Batista in just two years.
Julia Ormond, Rodrigo Santoro, Demian Bichir and Oscar Isaac accompany Del Toro in this first part of the trip, which concludes with the sequel 'Che, Guerrilla', in which we see Guevara as the leader of a small guerrilla that continues trying to spread the revolution in Bolivia. The task seems to become impossible when the revolutionaries encounters the Bolivian army that, with the help of the United States, it's more than ready to defeat him.
Catalina Sandino Moreno and Franka Potente among others joins Del Toro, Bichir and Santoro, in this film whose script is written by Peter Buchman.
