'American Pie' is an american teen movie series created by Adam Herz. The franchise consists of an original trilogy, four spin-off movies and a fourth film who serves as a sequel of the first three. 'American Pie' has made over 1 billion dollars worlwide with all eight films. The first three movies, launched with a two-year interval from each other since 1999 depicts the life of teenagers Jim, Nadie, Kevin, Finch, Stifler and Michelle. The last move, 'American Reunion' serves as an epilogue of the main characters' life. The most profitable film of the 'American Pie' franchise is the second one, with a box office of 145 million dollars worldwide.
