It has been a whole ten years since 'Zombieland' hit cinemas in 2009 and this year we will finally be able to enjoy the long-awaited sequel to Ruben Fleischer's horror-comedy cult classic.
In 'Zombieland' Jesse Eisenberg stars as an awkward college student, Columbus, who decides, after the zombie outbreak, to travel to Ohio to see if his parents made it out alive. On his way he meets the eccentric zombie-hunter, Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson), who teaches Columbus his rules for survival in the undead world. The two encounter a pair of sisters, Wichita (Emma Stone) and Little Rock (Abigail Breslin), and the unlikely team manage to find a small ray of hope and laughter in the bleak landscape of a zombie-infested America.
In 2019, nothing says "the living dead" like resurrecting a weeks-old meme from the graveyard of the internet. To ready fans for the upcoming sequel, Sony recently tweeted a poster of the new film, pinned next to the original for comparison. It is reassuring to see that after a decade in this post-apocalyptic world there is still no shortage of eyeliner or dodgy cowboy hats.

Who else is feeling the nostalgia (and excitement) kicking in?
Back From the Beyond the Grave
'Zombieland 2' finds the original stars all returning to their roles in order to fight for survival in the ever zombie dominated world (and perhaps to enjoy a few queue-free theme parks while they are at it). This time around they will be joined by some fellow survivors, including Zoey Deutch and Rosario Dawson, and they will all be forced to confront a new more evolved species of zombie.
