Just this February, Sony released its first teaser for the upcoming film based on Spider-man's archenemy from the Marvel comics: 'Venom'. We first saw the character, then played by Topher Grace, in 'Spider-Man 3'. The teaser for the upcoming film didn't really show anything we've not seen before, so you can imagine why fans are eagerly anticipating the release of the film's next trailer.
Via his Instagram account, actor, Tom Hardy, who'll be playing Eddie Brock/Venom, let on to his followers that a second trailer was incoming. Although Hardy didn't give an exact date, the mention of CinemaCon in the caption suggests we'll be seeing a new clip for 'Venom' as early as tonight! (Sony Pictures are set to head a panel at the event).
The release of the second trailer has come just in time for Summer. We wouldn't be surprised if Sony were attempting to take advantage of the fascination with superhero films of late, especially with the upcoming release of the much anticipated 'Avengers: Infinity War'.
A release date?
'Venom' isn't set to hit UK cinemas until 5th October. The film is directed by Ruben Fleischer ('Zombieland') and stars Michelle Williams and Woody Harrelson alongside Tom Hardy. Not much is yet known about the storyline.
