It's been revealed that Tyrese Gibson (Roman Pierce in the Fast universe), and The Rock, Dwayne Johnson really don't get on well in real life. The latest installment to the Fast franchise, 'Fast & Furious 9' was originally due for release on 19th April 2019, however, there's now going to be a spin-off film. The spin-off will be based on Hobbs, Johnson's character, and Shaw, played by Jason Statham, and the former actor wants to prioritise this project over Fast 9.
Johnson's decision to prioritise his spin-off film has meant that we won't get to see the ninth installment until 10th April 2020! Tyrese Gibson clearly isn't happy with the decision to postpone 'Fast & Furious 9', and has let us all now via Instagram. It all started on 12th September, when Gibson asked (or rather, pleaded) for Johnson not to delay the next Fast film. Gibson mentioned how, out of respect for the franchise's fans, they shouldn't change the release date.
Dog shit
The Rock clearly hasn't been responding to Gibson, despite his pleading, and this only seems to have annoyed the latter actor further. We don't know what has been said between the two in private, although Gibson did post this video on 11th October.
Clearly, the gods haven't come to Gibson's rescue this time, and his prayers have been left unanswered; The Rock still hasn't responded, and we're left wondering whether he will.
Unfortunately for Tyrese Gibson, Johnson is a well-established actor, so we doubt Universal Studios will let him go from the multi-million dollar generating saga for the sake of a childish dispute. Truthfully, no one knows how this will end, but one thing for sure is that, there's enough drama here to rival a Fast film.
