The friendship between actors Tom Hardy and Leonardo DiCaprio is quite well known. After working together on films like 'Inception' and 'The Revenant', it's not surprising that the two are close. Recently, Hardy took to Instagram revealing a new tattoo he was forced to get after losing a bet to Leo back in 2016.
To put some context to the whole situation, let us cast you back to the 2016 Oscars. DiCaprio was certain Hardy was up for a nomination for his work on 'The Revenant' yet Hardy wasn't convinced, and so commenced their bet. If Hardy was nominated he'd get a tattoo of DiCaprio's choosing, if not, Leo would be the one sporting some new ink.
That year, Tom Hardy hadn't been nominated at any of the other award ceremonies and so the odds really were looking in his favour. But the tables turned with the Oscar nominations, leaving him at the mercy of DiCaprio. Hardy's new tattoo reads "Leo knows everything". Leo wrote the phrase down on a post-it note, Hardy told Esquire and simply replied with "OK, I'll get it done, but you have to write it properly". The tattoo is situated on Hardy's bicep, as you can see in the above Instagram post.
Tom Hardy's not embarrassed by much
Considered one of the industry's more rebellious actors, Hardy has proven he's not too fussed by having to strip down in front of the cameras, and also admitted to Vanity Fair that he's not at all embarrassed by his MySpace photos. "I've got no shame about my MySpace photos, especially the one of me in my underpants which is a glorious photo of a man in his natural habitat... In America, they say 'you should be ashamed of this', but I'm actually not remotely ashamed".
