Just last September, Freeform announced that a 'Pretty Little Liars' spin-off featuring Sasha Pieterse's Allison and Janel Parrish's Mona was in the works. 'The Perfectionists' promises to quench the thirst of PLL fans everywhere, and with Liars showrunner, Marlene King joining forces with Leslie Morgenstein (also from PLL), and 'The 100's Gina Girolamo, we've no doubt they'll be able to pull it off. Between the three, it is believed they're trying to attract as many liars as possible to the series.
American magazine, TV Guide managed to catch up with Lucy Hale recently, and didn't hesitate to ask the star whether she'd be interested in reprising her role as Aria. Hale, who is already working on a new show set for release in March, revealed the chances of her appearing in 'The Perfectionists' are slim. "I don't think I will be in the spin-off... I will definitely be supporting and watching. I think they're actually going to film in Vancouver, so I might go like stalk the set a little bit." Hale's new project, 'Life Sentence' is also filming in the Canadian city, so the prospect of a fleeting visit to the set is more likely. Whilst Hale was realistic about returning to the show, she was a bit more imaginative when it came to fantasising over Aria "traveling the world with Ezra".
A different kind of reunion
'Pretty Little Liars' may have come to an end, but the same cannot be said for its cast, who are still just as close as they were on set. Just last week, Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, Shay Mitchell, Tyler Blackburn and Keegan Allen all reunited to bring in the new year. Benson took to Instagram to post several stories over the course of the night, ending with a post on her page with the caption "So lucky to have these ones". Lucy Hale was missing from the night along with Pieterse and Parrish.
