We've been waiting a long time to check back in with the Parr family, and now that wait is almost over. 'The Incredibles 2' is Pixar's next big release and we've finally got news on what will go down in the 'The Incredibles' sequel.
According to the recently released synopsis, "everyone's favorite family of superheroes is back in 'Incredibles 2' - but this time Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is in the spotlight, leaving Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell) and Dash (voice of Huck Milner) to navigate the day-to-day heroics of 'normal' life. It's a tough transition for every one, made tougher by the fact that the family is still unaware of baby Jack-Jack's emerging superpowers. When a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot, the family and Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) must find a way to work together again - which is easier said than done, even when they're all Incredible".
The synopsis confirms that in place of Bob, Helen will be the focus of the second film in the saga. We don't know much about the dangers awaiting Elastagirl, but it's clear that there'll be a totally new villain on the scene.
We love Jack-Jack
The first teaser for the film hinted that Jack-Jack would be playing a major role in the film; the youngest member of the family is shown sporting new superpowers in the video clip. Both Jack-Jack and Frozone are fan favourites, so we hope we'll get to see a lot of them in the sequel. 'The Incredibles 2' is the fruit of the combined effort of both Disney and Pixar and is set to be one of this year's biggest releases along with 'Ralph Breaks the Internet', the sequel to 'Wreck-It Ralph'. 'The Incredibles 2' film is set for UK release on 13th July 2018.
