Over the weekend, majority of the US had their eyes glued to the match of the year: the Super Bowl. Whilst the Philadelphia Eagles might've made history by winning the title for the first time, it's not the game we're interested in but the trailers. The most expensive seconds on TV belong to the ads that air during the Super Bowl, and it's no surprise that the spots are so coveted when 111.1 million viewers tuned in last year!
Some of the year's biggest productions fight out over who'll get the chance to win over viewers by utilising one of the spots that air between each play of the match. This year, we were treated to a variety of trailers including a first look at 'Solo: A Star Wars Story'. Even better news is that a follow up teaser is due sometime this week!
A year of surprises
Juan Antonio Bayona has had us on the edges of our seats for quite some time now, awaiting another 'Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom' trailer, and last night, we finally got what we'd been waiting for. But the real surprise came with another 'Avengers: Infinity War' teaser that, whilst short, was full of new footage. Speaking of surprises, the third film in the 'Cloverfield' saga, 'The Cloverfield Paradox', will be a Netflix only release and it's already available to stream on the US version of the site.
Films aside, last night also saw a few trailers for series like Amazon's 'Jack Ryan', 'Westworld' and 'Castle Rock'. The latter Hulu production takes place in Stephen King's fictional universe. You can take a look at the rest of the latest trailers, fresh out of the oven below.
