The 70th Edition of the Emmy Awards show has left us with several moments worth remembering, such as Regina King's hilarious speech as the winner in the category of Best Lead Actress for her part in the miniseries 'Seven Seconds'. King sat stunned for several seconds without moving when the winner was announced, despite the Leslie Jones' cries of joy.
However, the real stars of the show were Glenn Weiss and his girlfriend, in an appearance never-before-seen on the Emmys. The producer was receiving his award for Best Outstanding Directing of a Variety Special (for the Oscars) and he took advantage of his acceptance speech to ask his girlfriend for her hand in marriage, attracting all the focus towards her, pausing the gala which had thousands of people fixated on their screens.

"You wonder why I don't like to call you my girlfriend ? because I want to call you my wife", confessed Weiss, amidst applause and cries from the audience and leaving his girlfriend with her mouth wide open. The crowd cheered as she made her way up to the stage, where Weiss got down on one knee and formally proposed.
The Speech
"This is the ring my dad put on my mom's finger 67 years ago (and to my sisters and brothers, I didn't swipe it, Dad knows I have it, okay?)", Weiss joked. "Jan, I want to put this ring that my mom wore on your finger in front of all these people and in front of my mom and your parents watching, from above. Will you marry me?".
