'Kim Possible' fans are rejoicing everywhere, because according to Adam Bonnett, Disney Channel vice president, a live-action film is in the works.
The series aired on TV between 2002 and 2007 and was even nominated for an Emmy back in 2003 for best animated feature. The Disney Channel production focused on Kim Possible, just your everyday teenage girl who also happened to dedicate her time to saving the world alongside her friend, Ron Stoppable and his pet, Rufus.
There have already been two 'Kim Possible' films ('So the Drama' & 'A Sitch in Time') and a number of video-games based on her adventures. This time, creators, Mark McCorkle and Robert Schooley are returning to work as executive producers on the upcoming flick.

Upon speaking to Variety, Bonnett commended McCorkle and Schooley for creating "an enduring character and kids all over the world found a friend in her, an average girl who just happens to spend her off-school hours thwarting evil villains." The Disney Channel VP then added that "Although Kim Possible can do anything, kids and tweens found that this animated redhead was just like them".
The upcoming film, set to be co-directed by Adam B. Stein and Zach Lipovsky, is currently undergoing casting. Who would you like to see play Kim?
