Starring in a trilogy like 'Fifty Shades of Grey' is something that changes your life forever, just ask Jamie Dornan. The actor, who played the role of the sensual lover, Christian Grey, in the cinema adaptation of E.L. James' novels, recently spoke about the consequences of taking on such adult roles, saying that it meant that he practically had to beg Universal Pictures for a part in 'Trolls World Tour', the sequel to the Dreamworks animation 'Trolls'.
Dornan addressed the topic during his appearance on The Graham Norton Show, explaining that playing adult roles comes with the cost of not being able to show his young daughters any of his films, thus influencing his decision to ask Universal for a voiceover part in the 'Trolls' sequel. The actor said that his experience creating this animation film was rather uncomfortable for him (more so than the nude scenes of 'Fifty Shades'?), although he admits that he enjoyed it and described it as "incredible".
"I've played a lot of creepy characters so my kids can't watch anything I'd done so I basically begged Universal to give me a part. I loved it and it was an amazing experience, but doing voice over made me very uncomfortable."
Jamie Dornan's Upcoming Films
'Trolls World Tour' will come to cinemas in 2020, at which point we will be able to listen tp his voice playing one of the new characters appearing in the sequel. But before this, we can enjoy the actors presence on the big screen in films such as 'Robin Hood', 'Untogether', 'A Private War', and 'My Dinner with Hervé' all coming in 2018.
