Despite having said goodbye to Wolverine for good in 'Logan', Hugh Jackman continues to talk nonstop about who his character was, due to Ryan Reynold's insistence that Wolverine and Deadpool participate in a film together. And after so much time talking about his old character, Jackman is now about to reveal a "big announcement" via the Australian television program, 'The Today Show', making fans hope for the best.
The presenters of the program revealed that Jackman is to be on the show next Thursday, on the 29th November, and although they have not chosen to say what they will be talking to the actor about, they have confirmed that it will include "a big exclusive announcement", something which Jackman himself has mentioned via Twitter. He tweeted the clip from the program in which they announced his appearance, warning his fans to tune in. The announcement could be related to practically anything, but the program have specifically assured viewers that it will be "worth the wait".

Without a doubt the announcement which would excite fans the most would be Hugh Jackman's return to the big screen in the role of Wolverine, either in a new 'X-Men' film after Disney's purchase of Fox, or in a film with Deadpool, something which Ryan Reynolds does not stop demanding. However, the return of the Australian to the universe of the Marvel mutants is unlikely, and as the actor has confirmed on multiple occasions, 'Logan' is his last film as the superhero. We can speculate all that we want, but unfortunately will have to wait until Thursday to find out what Hugh Jackman has in store for us.
Hugh Jackman No Longer Takes Ryan Reynolds' Calls
Since the start of the promotion campaign for 'Deadpool 2', Ryan Reynolds has not stopped in his attempt to convince Hugh Jackman to participate in a 'Deadpool' film, unsheathing his claws once more. But the 'Greatest Showman' actor has already said on various occasions that he has no interest in returning to the role of Wolverine, and as Digital Spy highlighted, Jackman joked in an interview with MTV News, assuring them that at this point he'd stopped taking Reynolds' calls. Although he assured them that he enjoyed 'Deadpool', he stated that his farewell to the character of Wolverine came at the right time: "It's like you're at the greatest party you've ever been at, you're dancing for an hour and a half and then you're just like 'It's time, if I stay any longer it's going to get ugly, it's time'." It seems that Deadpool and Wolverine won't be teaming up on the screen any time soon...
