'Game of Thrones' ended just over a month ago, yet we are already pining for more. The series isn't set to return anytime soon, with season 8 expected between 2018 and 2019. Despite this, however, we've still managed to receive some good news from Westeros: there may be a possible marriage on the horizon. Whilst there've been times where we've had as little an idea as you, on this occasion, we're happy to announce that Kit Harington and Rose Leslie are engaged.

 The two actors on set

The two actors who portray Jon Snow and Ygritte respectively, were one of our favourite couples throughout the series and many believed their love might have transcended the cameras as the second and third series played out. According to People, after confirming their relationship on the red carpet at the Oliver Awards in 2016 (the rumours began in 2012, and continued for about a year), the couple took one step further. They've already been living together for some time now.

The Times published a notice in the paper, whilst Nicole Kidman hinted at the news when she appeared on James Corden's 'The Late Late Show' which airs in the USA.

The notice from The Times newspaper

In 2014, Leslie told People, "Kit is a lovely and funny man, and a dear friend.

We had known each other before we started working together on Game of Thrones. It was always such a privilege to be working opposite him and such a blessing that we get on in real life because it made our characters more believable." A month after announcing the two were seeing on another, Harington, in an interview with L'Uomo Vogue said, "If you're already attracted to someone, and then they play your love interest in the show, it becomes very easy to fall in love."

What about 'Game of Thrones'?

'Game of Thrones', on top of being one of the most watched television series, has been crowned as the best in the past 20 years, according to a list compiled by Rotten Tomatoes. The show is closely followed by 'Breaking Bad' and 'The Big Bang Theory'. Comedies, 'Parks and Recreation' and 'Modern Family' failed to obtain a place on the list however.
