The carefully chosen team of screenwriters lined up to collaborate with Benioff and Weiss on this cinematic take on the novel have already been announced, with Phil Hay and Matt Manfredi, the minds behind 'Destroyer' and 'The Invitation', set to join the duo in the writer's room.

'Color Out of Space'

Before this film hits theatres, however, an iconic Lovecraftian short story will have its moment on the big screen with the film 'Color Out of Space'. This feature film starring Nicolas Cage tells the story of a family that fall victim to strange side effects after a meteorite crashes into their backyard.

'Color Out of Space' will be the first part of a trilogy set in Lovecraft's fictional universe. Comingsoon announces that SpectreVision!, the production company of Elijah Wood, is at the helm of this exciting project of bringing Lovecraft's expansive vision to life on screen. 'Color Out of Space' will be released in UK cinemas on the 28th February 2020.
