Without doubt 'Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald' is one of the most highly anticipated films to come out this year. Its prequel, 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them', was a true success with both critics and public, making more than $812 million in worldwide box office profits. Now we have only to see if this new Harry Potter universe adventure will continue with the same success and win the approval of a new generation of Potterheads, not to mention the oldest and most loyal.

Fantastic Beasts the Crimes of Grindelwald

The film starring Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne has already had its first official screenings in which a few fortunate fans and critics were able to live the experience before everyone else. As expected, they have given their reviews via social media, yet without spilling a single spoiler before the film's commercial release.

The first reaction have generally been very positive and it has left more than one speechless. The praise has centre, above all, in Johnny Depp's acting as the film's villain, which one review described as "perfect" in the role of Grindelwald. Surprises are guaranteed and all reactions confirm that you will leave the cinema asking more questions than you had upon entering, thus, according to one Twitter user "you will need to see this film more than once".

Other reactions have been rather colder, emphasising that the film is far from equalling its prequel. Be that as it may, it is certain that the film will give us a lot to talk about and will be a topic of conversation among Harry Potter fans for a while. Here we have compiled some of the most interesting reactions...

J.K. Rowling is Excited

At the end of the first screenings the hashtag #ProtectTheSecrets has been remembered by fans, who are forbidden from sharing any detail with those who have not yet had the chance to see it.

The creator of the magic world of Harry Potter, J.K. Rowling has been waiting anxiously for the reactions to appear on social media and, as is habit with her, has interacted with many of her fans, thanking them for and reminding them to "protect the secrets":

'Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald' will be released in cinemas on 16th November 2018.
