In just less than a year we'll return to J.K. Rowling's magical world with 'Fantastic Animals 2', in order to celebrate the remaining 365 days, Warner Bros. released a few surprises for Potterheads.
'Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald' is the title of the latest installment, which will evidently focus on Johnny Depp's character, Gellert Grindelwald. The title isn't the only gift Warner Bros presented us this week however, for we've also been treated to the first photo of the cast. There are a few notable additions, including Jude Law's young Albus Dumbledore.

Claudia Kim, a Maledictus, whose character remains without a name, develops a blood disease causing her to become a beast. Zoë Kravitz (Leta Lestrange), and Callum Turner (Theseus Scamander, Newt's brother) are also in the photo. If you look close enough at Depp's character, Gellert Grindelwald, you can see he's holding the Elder Wand, whilst Dumbledore's wand, shown in a different tweet, is plain black. Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, round up the cast. We can also see Credence, played by Ezra Miller, confirming that the character is still very much alive in the sequel.
Wands at the ready. On 11.16.18 the #FantasticBeasts story continues. Check back tomorrow for more #MagicInProgress. #WizardingWednesdays pic.twitter.com/FLxxfXP1Am

What we know so far
Pottermore has been a great source in all things 'The Crimes of Grindelwald', which is set in 1927, a few months after the events of 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them'. Newt finishes his book, and elsewhere, Grindelwald manages to escape and begins searching for followers who'll support him in his fight against the No-Majs. The sequel introduces us to Theseus Scamander's fiancé, Leta Lestrange, as well as the wizarding circus and its owner, Skender (ólafur Darri Ólafsson). Despite being a 'Harry Potter' prequel, 'The Crimes of Grindelwald' will also take us back to Hogwarts with teenage, Newt, Leta, Grindelwald and Albus Dumbledore.
Phew! After all of that, the only thing left for us to do is wait excitedly for 16th November 2018, when we'll be able to catch the film premiere.
