These two Marvel heroes from 'Avengers: Infinity War' will be joining forces once again, but this time in the small screen. Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan will be returning to their roles as Falcon and Winter Soldier, starring in their own miniseries made by Disney, which will be released onto the streaming platform which the studios are currently developing.
According to reports from Variety, the one charged with the task of writing the series will be Malcom Spellman, whose most prominent work has been as as the script-writer and executive co-producer of the Fox series, 'Empire'. It is worth remembering that this miniseries is not the only one centering around the Marvel Cinematic Universe characters which Disney is preparing. The idea is to give more screen time to both the heroes and villains of the universe who have not had their own film or who have only been featured as second characters in the saga, ignoring the likes of Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor, for example. However, it could be very interesting to delve deep into the the stories of characters such as Scarlett Witch or Loki, who many fans feel have not been given the screen time they deserve. We have yet to know which other heroes and villains will form a part of this branch of Marvel's universe, or who will be in charge of the projects.
Despite this movement, other Marvel series, such as 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' and 'Daredevil', which are streamed on ABC and Netflix respectively, will remain under the care and brand of Marvel TV. Disney wants to start their own streaming platform to beat all others. Their investment does not stop with Marvel. As well as this confirmed series, they will be launching the first ever 'Star Wars' live action series, called 'The Mandalorian', with Jon Favreau overseeing it. There are also plans for a 'High School Musical' series and a remake of 'Lady and the Tramp'. Disney seem to have all boarders covered with these new projects! Which one are you most excited to see?
