The Spanish teen drama 'Elite' turned into somewhat of a phenomenon when it first launched on Netflix, attracting masses of fans around the world. These fans of the network of deceit, drama and fabulous hair have been eagerly awaiting news about the upcoming third season and what it holds in store for the students of Las Encinas.
Luckily, the platform heard their prayers and took to social media to officially announce the release date for the grand return of the series. This return will be happening even sooner than expected, with 'Elite' hitting our screens once more on Friday 13th March. As though this weren't already enough, Netflix decided to spoil us more than Lu (Danna Paola) on her birthday and also released a few more exciting details about the season's imminent release.
The return of characters such as Guzmán (Miguel Bernardeau), Nadia (Mina El Hammani), Carla (Ester Expósito) and Omar (Omar Ayuso) was never going to be anything but full of deliciously charged tension and conflicts that our protagonists must face as they walk down the shiny corridors of Las Encinas. Despite new crises on the horizon, however, showrunners Darío Madrona and Carlos Montero are sure to retain the show's winning formula of drama, heartbreak, sex and jealousy when it comes to cooking up a storm of a new series.
A Dramatic Return
According to Netflix, everything kicks off with the unexpected return of Polo (Álvaro Rico) to the elite school. The platform recently revealed the season's synopsis and, if these few lines are anything to go by, we're in for a thrilling ride with this next batch of episodes.
"The tense atmosphere caused by Polo's presence amongst his fellow students can only end one way: in a new tragedy at Las Encinas. In the third season of ELITE, the protagonists will face their final months at the institute, a stage of their lives in which they'll have to make decisions that could change their futures forever. Love, sex and friendship will be more present than ever in this journey, though jealousy, secrets and a hunger for revenge will follow close behind and threaten to ruin lives that were only just beginning..."
