The seventh season of 'Game of Thrones' will feature the guest star, singer Ed Sheeran, who will have a cameo in the new batch of episodes. This has been announced by the HBO show runners. In this way, Ed Sheeran will join the list of musicians who have had a cameo in the acclaimed series such as Mastodon, Of Monsters and Men, Gary Lightbody by Snow Patrol or Coldplay drummer Will Champion.

'Arya'

The news was announced this Sunday, March 12 during the South by Southwest (SXSW) in which the showrunners of 'Game of Thrones', David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, confirmed the success singer's participation as 'Thinking Out Loud' or the most recent 'Shape of You', which has been a non-consecutive six weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100.

Arya Stark, a big fan of Ed Sheeran

"For years we have tried to have Ed Sheeran appear in the series, especially to surprise Maisie Williams and this year we have finally succeeded," said Benioff, who is an avid fan of the English musician. So far, no further details have been out on how the singer will appear in the series and what his role will be in the seventh season.

'Superfan'

Sophie Turner, in a joke mode, suggested that the next guest star should be Justin Bieber, to which D.B Weiss replied, following the joke, that "we will have to wait for the ninth season".

After releasing a first and brutal breakthrough, the seventh season of 'Game of Thrones' will premiere very soon. It will be July 16 when you can see the new episodes of fiction based on the saga of novels by George R.R. Martin. A season that is expected to be more epic, if possible, than the previous. This was Kit Harington (Jon Snow) recently. "It will be much bigger," he said. We will find out in July!

'Sean Bean'

1 Sean Bean played football with his head after his death

Sean Bean, the actor who had to stage the death of Eddard Stark (which is one of the most heartfelt deaths in fiction) had already commented that at the time of filming that scene felt a little uncomfortable with the prosthesis of his head.

And of course, he could not think of anything but to play football it.

'Jaime's Armour'

2 Jaime Lannister hates wearing armour

Well, the poor man makes it clear, because knights and armor often go hand in hand. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, the actor who plays the arrogant blonde Lannister, absolutely has to wear armour.

Ian Beattie, the actor who played Meryn Trant in the series, revealed to the Huffington Post that Nikolaj "takes every opportunity he has to remove his armor" claiming it is very heavy.

'Suprise'

3 Everyone was surprised when they saw that the scene of Jon Snow figured in his script

In the case of surprising scenes or especially shocking deaths, many screenwriters send the crucial pages only to the actors who are going to be directly involved.

That's why Deobia Oparei, who plays Areo Hotah in the series, were so surprised when he could read in the script that he was sent the scene of the death of Jon Snow. "I was surprised that we reached all of them, I thought they would skip those pages so that as few people as possible would know."

'Script'

4 The Script contained false deaths to trick the actors

The restlessness of all before the imminent death of its personage is one of the most habitual ghosts in the production of 'Game of Thrones', and the writers are graciosillos that were not going to miss the opportunity to stay with the personnel. Thus, according to Sophie Turner, the writers are inventing deaths that they deny three weeks later. That's nice of them.

'Trantophile'

5 Ian Beattie had nightmares when he learned that his character was a pedophile

The actor who played Meryn Trant on the show stated the fifth season really showed what his character was like. "I am a father, so it seemed to me that something like this really presented a lot of difficulty for me. I had nightmares about it."

'Pedro'

6 Oberyn Martell sounds like the father of Pedro Pascal

The actor who plays Oberyn assures that he has to thank for the inspiration to give the accent of his character to his father. "I remember having this strange feeling that Oberyn Martell should sound like my father... I have no idea what that will say about my father."

'Syrio'

7 The producers deny a certain theory about Syrio

There are those who still hope Syrio, who was Arya's master, survived his meeting with Ser Meryn Trant, but the actor who plays the latter ensures that the producers have confirmed that he is really dead.

Beattie added that Syrio "Was defenseless, while I was well armed, and I think Syrio would have tried to give Arya the greatest advantage and I doubt that my character would leave him alive." I would be very surprised if he appeared again.

'Sand Snakes'

8 'Game of Thrones' is more a theater company than a television series

Or so says Deobia Oparei. The calmness that surrounds the set reminds her of a theater company. "It's fun. Everyone has a good time and that's what makes it really special."

'Snooze'

9 Oberyn fell asleep during the scene in which he dies

During an HBO roundtable discussing about the characters who had already made a better life in the series, Pedro Pascal said that although he had been told that his death would be very uncomfortable, he was almost asleep during the terrifying scene in which his character loses his life.

'Funny Guys'

10 Tyrion and Varys are the funny ones during filming

According to Beattie, working with Peter Dinklage and Conleth Hill, who play Tyrion and Varys in the series, is like sharing a set with two comedians. "They're the funniest duet in the world. They're funnier than most professional comedians, and they've got everyone laughing all the time."

'Joffrey'

11 Joffrey died in a parking lot in California

The producers of the series were not clear that Joffrey's death was horrible enough, so they decided to film it again in a parking lot in Valencia, California. Jack Gleeson, the actor who plays the hated Lannister, still thinks the scene was not right because the "damn Californian sun" blinded him.

'Fairly'

12 Michelle Fairley cried when she first saw 'The Red Wedding'

The controversial episode that ends with half of the Stark of a shot, also moved the actress who played Catelyn Stark, mother of the wolves.

Michelle saw the scene for the first time while filming extras for the third season and assured that it is incredible and brings back many memories.

Richard Madden, the actor who played Robb Stark, thinks the scene is "very difficult to watch".
