Those of you lucky enough to have visited Disneyland as a child, will probably remember the famous 'Maleficent' attraction in which the character, who appears in dragon form, shoots smoke from her nostrils. As a child, such surprise theatrics are pretty impressive, but imagine that completely unexpectedly happening on another ride, because that's what happened to Ursula on the 'The Little Mermaid' attraction.
This happened today which caught me off guard because Disney is usually so critical over things like this? #offwithherhead ! pic.twitter.com/biGGYG6ec2

Yes, we know, Ursula is pretty terrifying as she is, but one thing young riders didn't need to see was her headless, yet still very much alive, body (as alive as a theme-park attraction can be, that is). The Ursula figurine on the 'The Little Mermaid Ariel's Undersea Adventure' in Disney's California Adventure recently suffered a technical issue, leaving the sea-witch's head hanging from its cables while the rest of her body continued to move. What a disturbing sight for the poor children on the ride!
Another accidental mishap
The most surprising bit of all however, is that this isn't an isolated incident! One of the characters on the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' attraction also lost its head. Despite the now uncomfortable angle at which its head was placed, the figure continued to speak and move its facial features! We hope the authorities managed to catch up with 'Alice in Wonderland''s Queen of Hearts, because these incidents have her name written all over them.
Got a clearer picture taken with my DSLR. I know flash pictures are forbidden, but it was way to tempting ?? pic.twitter.com/OsZujdeG36
