Comparte:

Best portrayed by 'Bram Stoker's Dracula', "love never dies". If only to prove that further, Dracula stars, Winona Ryder and Keanu Reeves, reunite 26 years later in 'Destination Wedding'. The two are invited to their friends' wedding and meet on their travels, only to fall in love at the end of the rom-com.

 Reeves and Ryder

As of late, Reeves has been working on the action saga, 'John Wick' whilst Ryder is busier than ever with 'Stranger Things'. 'Destination Wedding' marks the first time the duo will working together after a number of years, and if the trailer's anything to go by, their chemistry is as palpable as it was back in 1993.

'Destination Wedding' sees Winona and Keanu as Lindsay and Frank, two ungrateful and unpleasant individuals, invited to their friends' wedding. To their surprise, however, the two are more alike than they first thought, and so it's not long before they begin to fall for one another.

The upcoming film is directed by Victor Levin, an American filmmaker popular in independent cinema. 'Destination Wedding' is set for US release on 24th August. No UK date has yet been confirmed.

Well aged

Both actors are perhaps most well-known for their work in the 90's, and, as with good wine, that only gets better with age, that seems to have been the case for Reeves and Ryder.

Although for many, 'Destination Wedding' will feel like the duo's first reunion since 'Dracula', that's not the case at all. Back in 2006, the two reunited for Richard Linklater's animation, 'A Scanner Darkly' and 2009 saw the actors each star in 'The Private Lives of Pippa Lee', although they didn't have any scenes together.

Reeves and Ryder in their various reunions

Keanu Reeves hasn't stopped working, although he's somewhat reinvented himself with 'John Wick' (brought to us by 'Deadpool 2' director, David Leitch). Winona Ryder, on the other hand, retired from acting for a number of years, only appearing in the odd blockbuster or independent film. Perhaps Ryder's most iconic role in recent years has been that of Beth Macintyre in Darren Aronofsky's 'Black Swan'. Seven years later, Ryder joined the cast of the uber-successful 'Stranger Things', an act which many saw as her comeback.

We can't wait to see Ryder and Reeves share the screen once more!
