David Harbour, who plays the part of Jim Hopper in the Netflix series 'Stranger Things' proves that he is a man of his word and keeps the promises he makes to his fans. A few months ago we saw him in character in fun photoshoot for a teenagers' yearbook, and just when we think that he can't surprise us anymore, there he goes and does it; the actor has just lived up to another one of his promises by attending one of his fan's wedding.
Nine months ago a fan invited Harbour via Twitter to officiate her wedding and Harbour responded, telling her that if the tweet reached 125,000 retweets then he would attend, not only to officiate the wedding but also to read a love letter of her choice, providing that he could have the first slice of wedding cake. In less than 24 hours the the young woman managed to surpass the number of retweets that Harbour requested, meaning that he had to keep his promise...and he did!
The actor, nominated this year for an Emmy award in the category of 'Best Actor' for his role in 'Stranger Things' came to the wedding dressed in the iconic sheriff's uniform of Jim Hopper, and he shared a photo on Twitter:
Hey internet. I know it's been awhile. I retreated. Needed some space. You probably get it. But I've been thinking about ya in the interim. And all your retweets. And so me and some fun folks in Springfield, Illinois made good on our promise we made all those months ago. pic.twitter.com/fZK8zNMQSi

'Stranger Things' will not return until 2019
The vice-president of the original Netflix series, Cindy Holland, announced in July that the third season of 'Stranger Things' would not premier until the summer of 2019. She described the series as "very elaborate" and said that Levy brothers, Duffy and Shawn Levy, understand that there is a lot in play. Holland claims that they want to show the public something bigger and better than in previous seasons, saying that season three will be "fantastic" and worth the wait. So until then we can attempt a 'Stranger Things' marathon with the two available seasons on Netflix, and enjoy the adventures of the inhabitants of Hawkins.
