The Italian villa where Luca Guadagnino filmed 'Call Me By Your Name' has been put on the market by agents Home & Love for €1.7 million (just over £1.5 million).
The production was filmed in Crema, a small Italian town where the director himself lives. Guadagnino mentioned to Architectural Digest back in 2017 that he knew before filming that he wanted the Perlman family home to be a 17th century style villa in the Lombardy region. "I had known that house for many years; I even dreamed of buying that house", he said.
Just two years after finishing the filming for 'Call Me By Your Name', Guadagnino's dream, or that of any fan with enough money, could very well come true.
'Call Me By Your Name' at the Oscars
The film, set in 1980's Northern Italy, tells the love story between Oliver (Armie Hammer) and Elio and has been nominated under four different categories at this years' Oscars. The nominations include, best film, best actor (Timothée Chalamet), best song and best adapted screenplay. The Oscars ceremony isn't due to take place until 4th March, so whilst we wait to find out how well 'Call Me By Your Name' actually does, have a look at the agency photos for the house in which it was filmed.
True fans of the film can fantasise about finding themselves sitting back in Elio's dad's library (Michael Stuhlbarg) or by the chimney eating a peach. Take a look at the four bed, seven bath property below.
