'Avengers: Infinity War' is still breaking records; five months after its initial release in cinemas, the most ambitious Marvel crossover has officially been proclaimed the 4th most watched film of all time in the USA.
In its very first weekend the film managed to beat the sales for 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens', making 250 million dollars, something which was achieved over weeks in respective premiers worldwide. Finally, 'Infinity War' made a total of 678,815,482 dollars in the United States alone, while the worldwide total is even more impressive at around 2046 billion dollars.
In the ranking, this film only comes behind 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' with 936 million; followed by 'Avatar' with 760 million; and, its predecessor in the Marvel Comic Universe, 'Black Panther' with 700 million. Now the franchise can only hope that the coming sequel, 'Avengers 4', beats this mark.
Avengers: Endgame?
One year after 'Infinity War' was released 'Avengers 4' will arrive in cinemas, although the title remains unknown. While the Russo brothers have been reluctant to share the title, considering it a spoiler, they recently shared a photograph on Instagram with the caption, "Look hard...". Many fans were able to read the word 'Endgame' written in the shape of the props on set in this snapshot. Could this be the title of the next film?
