We do love a bit of gossip, so when two attractive actors happen to work together on a project, the rumours are bound to circulate. It happened to Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard after their work on 'Allied', and was practically inevitable, when it was announced that Jennifer Lawrence would be working alongside Chris Pratt on 'Passengers'. Anna Faris, then wife to Pratt, had to put up with a whole series of rumours about her husband and his co-star.
In her new book, 'Unqualified', Faris talks about how the ordeal didn't really take her by surprise, with thanks to her publicist. "Even before they met in person, my publicist, out of the blue, pulled me aside and said, «Anna, listen, there are going to be paparazzi all over them», she said. «There are going to be shots of them laughing together on their way to set. There are going to be stories circulating, and you have to brace yourself for this» I didn't think it would bother me. I've been in this business a while now and I had seen Chris star alongside other beautiful women, like Aubrey Plaza and Bryce Dallas Howard".
Faris also goes on to mention how she has no issue with Lawrence: "Jennifer and I really are friendly, and she was apologetic even though she didn't need to be, because she hadn't done anything wrong". Despite that however, Faris acknowledges it wasn't all smiles, for, "she's awesome, but of course it's hurtful and also embarrassing when people are saying your husband is cheating on you, even if it's patently untrue. You still feel, and look, like a fool".
The Breakup
Faris and Pratt announced their split this August after eight years of marriage. The two released a post online asking for privacy, especially with regard for their 5 year old son, Jack. Fans of the couple offered the actors supporting messages.

Despite the request for privacy, questions are inevitable, and eventually Faris spoke out. "Life is too short to be in relationships where you feel this isn't fully right or somebody doesn't have your back, or somebody doesn't fully value you. Don't be afraid to feel your independence if things aren't right... I made that mistake."
