Ever since the 'Kim Possible' TV film was confirmed earlier this year, we've not really heard much by way of cast or storyline. Now, however, we're pleased to report that the cast is almost complete and that the production is really starting to take shape.
We already reported some time back now, that the film was to be headlined by newcomer Sadie Stanley, whilst 'The Goldbergs' actor, Sean Giambrone would be playing Possible's sidekick, Ron Stoppable. TVLine have since reported that Alyson Hannigan will be playing Kim Possible's mother.
Connie Ray is to portray, Possible's Nana and Clara Wilson will be Athena, a new student. Possible's arch-enemy at school, Bonnie, will be played by Erika Tham. Todd Stashwick will be playing the evil Dr. Drakken, and Taylor Ortega, his minion, Shego.
Whilst the news is welcome, there are still a few roles yet to be announced, like those of Possible's brother and father. The film isn't set for release until 2019, so we've a little while to go before we get any more details.
The film adaptation
Whilst the storyline is being kept a secret for now, we do know that the creators of the original series, Mark Crokle and Robert Schooley have been working on the screenplay, meaning the film won't be too different from the episodes. In the series, Kim is a school-aged student who spends her free time saving the world alongside her best friend, Ron. Take a look at the latest cast photo below.
