The 2019 Super Bowl will go down in history as one of the biggest letdowns to date. Although the popular New England Patriots won the game, crushing the LA Rams, the excess of points between the two teams made the annually most-watched North American sporting game an easy win and a pretty tedious match. Even Adam Levine's nipples in Maroon 5's halftime performance couldn't generate enough excitement to save the day.
Luckily for the film-fans across the world, all was not lost, as all the many many trailers which premiered during the game gave us another reason to stay up late, glued to our screens. The real winner of the Super Bowl was Marvel, who released not only the new trailer for 'Captain Marvel', but also a brand new advert for 'Avengers: Endgame'. And speaking of action-packed adventures, in addition Marvel's two releases, 'Alita: Battle Angel' and 'Hobbs & Shaw' also pulled out the big guns.
For the younger audience, 'Toy Story 4' and 'Wonder Park' dropped new teasers, and for the horror fans were blessed with no less than FOUR new adverts for 'Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark'. Stealing the show completely was Jordan Peele, who dropped the trailer for his new thriller, 'Us', a teaser for 'The Twilight Zone', and starred in the 'Toy Story 4' teaser.
