Filming for season 2 of '13 Reasons Why' just finished; great news for fans who are patiently waiting for Netflix to announce its release date. If that wasn't news enough, Katherine Langford (Hannah) has been nominated for a Golden Globe as best actress in a drama TV series.
Langford heard the news of her nomination before she'd finished filming, and she thoroughly thanked the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for considering her for the award. The actress recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly, to whom she revealed a few details about her character in the upcoming episodes.
"You see a very different Hannah in season 2. I would prepare fans not to expect the Hannah from season 1 for a multitude of reasons", revealed the actress. With regard to whether we'll see much more of her character beyond the second season, the actress mentioned: "It's funny because I just wrapped and I think a lot of this season for me is about letting Hannah go".
Evolving the plot line
The actress hinted that season 2 might very well be the last we see of Hannah, as she spoke about where the show is headed for a third season: "This season has been really interesting for a lot of reasons. It's a different story than season 1 and I think that's a good thing. This season we get to explore a lot more of the other characters and their journeys, which I'm excited about. As sad as it is, there is life after Hannah, and this season we get to see the effects it had on the people around her a lot more".
