During the last four decades, American actor Bryan Cranston has been involved in all types of different productions on both the big and small screens. Despite him now being into his sixties, the actor doesn't look like he is stopping anytime soon.

Ever since Cranston stepped into the skin of the mad meth man Walter White, he changed the publics opinions on him. Before his revolutionary role in 'Breaking Bad', his most accredited role would have to be Hal in 'Malcolm in the Middle'. Thanks to these different but very well executed roles, Cranston has gained a reputation as being a friendly and well respected figure in the industry. So, to pay our respects to the Hollywood born actor, we have rustled up ten facts that you may not know about the man himself, Bryan Cranston.

1 Power Ranger

In recent years, Cranston has participated in some very popular Hollywood productions. Before this rise to fame, he worked as part of the crew for 'Mighty Morphin Power Rangers' (1993). His role included some voice over work and at the end as a tribute, the Blue Power Ranger was given the name Billy Cranston after the actor.

2 Bonkers for baseball

Cranston is a huge baseball fan. The actor follows the L.A Dodgers and his passion for the team is so big that his wife gave him an amazing surprise for his 40th birthday. Instead of going to a fancy restaurant or cocktail bar, his other half rented out the Dodgers stadium to celebrate his birthday.

3 Pay-cheque

Cranston reportedly earned a whopping $225,000 for every episode of the final season of 'Breaking Bad'. If we add all of that up, that means the actor earned an impressive $1.8 million for the final eight episodes. Give us a tenner, Bryan?

4 Father on and off screen

The 'Malcolm in the Middle' family didn't stop being a family when the cameras stopped running. It is believed during the filming of the series, Cranston would invite Erik Per Sullivan to his house on weekends so he could experience a normal childhood compared with the one he had on screen.

5 Full of adventure

Cranston isn't really the stereotypical egocentric Hollywood star. He is more of a free spirit to a certain extent. For example, when he was younger he set off on a two year adventure around the United States on a motorcycle with his brother.

The actors favourite 'Malcolm in the Middle' episode is 'Malcolm in the Middle: Rollerskates' (2000). For this episode, Cranston spent six weeks prior to filming in his free time learning how to roller-skate.

7 Cranston's idols

It's always interesting to find out the idols of the current stars in the world of cinema. With regards to Cranston, his idols come in the form of Jack Lemmon, Spencer Tracy, Rod Steiger and Dick Van Dyke.

8 Marathon man

Roller-skates and motorcycles aren't the only way that Cranston likes to move around. He has confessed numerous times that he is a very keen runner and goes on regular runs to keep fit. In an interview in 2003, he revealed he has ran four marathons.

9 Officer Cranston

At one point in his earlier years, Cranston had his eyes set on joining the police force. In fact, he received an associate degree in Police Science from Los Angeles Valley College in 1976.

10 'Breaking Bad' tattoo

After finishing filming for the extremely popular 'Breaking Bad', Cranston and his co-star and also very good friend, Aaron Paul, got tattoos to celebrate the series. Paul got the quote "No half measures" on his arm. Meanwhile, Cranston chose to get the logo of the show tattooed on the inner part of his finger.
