Plot
Presented in the official selection at Cannes, where he competed for the Palme d'Or and the Audience Award at the International Film Festival Karlovy Vary, 'Youth' tells the story of Fred, a composer and conductor retired, and Mick, two old friends who are vacationing with the daughter of the first in the Alps. Their rest will be interrupted for Queen Elizabeth II invitations that want them to perform on the birthday of Prince Philip. In this idyllic setting, both reflect on their careers, families and legacies, as they get to know other guests in the stylish hotel were they are staying. 'Youth' is the new film by Paolo Sorrentino, who won the Oscar for 'The great beauty'. This time with Michael Caine, Harvey Keitel and Jane Fonda in front of the cast.

Trivia
The film cast includes three Oscar winners: Michael Caine, Jane Fonda and Rachel Weisz.
Jane Fonda became interested in the role of Brenda after friend Al Pacino had told her that the part was "written for you." Another actress had been cast but dropped out, and so Fonda had her agent secure the role on her behalf.
When Rachel is lying in the sun, talking to the mountainier, her hand in her hair is almost never in the right place.
