'Writing with Fire' is a powerful plea for press freedom and feminism that follows the story of a group of women from India who, against everything and everyone, founded the first journalistic outlet made up of an exclusively female team . Together they fight against political corruption, mafias and machism, in a society strongly marked by a ruthless caste system, very present despite government laws and that especially hits women.
In a field such as communication sciences dominated by men, Dalit emerges. The documentary follows the bravery of this group of women, with Meera, the press officer, and her reporters breaking traditions and redefining what it truly means to be powerful. A cinematographic exercise that focuses on the struggle of women in one of the countries with the highest rates of femicide.
