Wish

How did the wishing star, which so many Disney characters wished upon, came to be? In the magical realm of Rosas, an island near the Iberian Peninsula, the young idealist Asha wishes for something so powerful that a start ends up falling from the sky and turning into a creature that doesn't talk and fills with magic everything she touches, including Valentino, Asha's goat who is suddenly able to speak. The little ball of cosmic energy is called Star, and with Asha she faces a powerful enemy, King Magnifico, ruler of Rosas that has magical powers over dreams: he's able to see the biggest wish of each person. But he's also capable of extracting it and, supposedly to protect the kingdom, he decides to keep them all and only grant one wish each year. Asha goes to the trials to become his apprentice but soon discovers that his criteria for selecting wishes is very questionable. With Star she will show that, when bravery meets the magic of the stars, marvelous things can happen.

'Wish' is a commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of Walt Disney Studios and is filled with references to their movies. Directed by Chris Buck and Fawn Veerasunthorn, with a script by Jennifer Lee and Allison Moore. Produced by Peter Del Vecho and Juan Pablo Reyes. The original cast includes Ariana DeBose as Asha, Alan Tudyk as Valentino and Chris Pine as King Magnifico.
