In Hungary a law is approved in which it is decided to preserve the dogs of breed, causing that anyone who has a cross-breed dog must pay an excessively high tribute. This makes kennels and dog shelters see their population quadruple. Lili, a 13-year-old girl, loves her dog Hagen very much but her father, who has just divorced his mother and who she has gone to live in Australia, must take care of the dog, which is crossbreed. Unable to cope with the payment, the man abandons the dog in the street. Lili looks for her pet all over Budapest. However, Hagen will do everything possible to survive, being a victim of abuse and torture. When Hagen managed to escape from the kennel and from a man who tortured him, Hagen began to organize with other stray dogs to rebel against the human race.
