White Bird

A story that arises from the successful phenomenon 'Wonder'.

Julián, the one who bullied Auggie Pullman in the previous movie, is going through tough times at his new school. Since being expelled from his former school for mistreating Auggie, he finds himself in a constant struggle to belong to any of the groups he sees in class. His maternal grandmother (Helen Mirren), aware of the reason for her grandson's expulsion, decides to share her own story so that Julián understands the importance of kindness.

When she was young, she lived in Nazi-occupied France. Being Jewish, she needed protection, and a boy provided it, risking his own life. Together, they created their own world full of magic and wonder where they found first love while his mother (Gillian Anderson) risked everything to keep them safe.

Based on the acclaimed and beloved novel by R.J. Palacio 'White Bird' and brought to the big screen by Marc Forster, White Bird is a film that, like its predecessor Wonder, seeks to show the importance of kindness. An emotional story about how empathy for others, even in the most difficult and painful circumstances, can make a significant difference in the world.
