Plot
In 1985, Argentinan town of Epecuén became submerged under the waters of a close lake. A turistic villa that took advantage of the termal waters in the zone, and that disappeared in a few days under the salted lake Epecuén. For 25 years, the town remained sunken and in 2009 the waters retired, and let see the abandoned ghost town. In this film, we follow a group of young people who go to Epecuén to make a documentary about the ghostly city. After a tour, and ignoring the warnings, they stay in the abandoned town. But little after, they will start to realize they are not as alone as they thought. 'What the Water Left Behind' is the third movie by Luciano Onetti, who helms for the first time alongside his brother Nicolás, after 'Sonno Profondo' and 'Francesca'.
