Viento Sur

The businessman Robert is sentenced to prisson for corruption. During his stay there, Alberto, one of his closest friends from his adolescence who has had a life very different that Robert's life, dies by accident. Mónica, Alberto's sister who works at a lighthouse in the Basque Country, picks up Robert the day he is released from jail to go to the lighthouse and throw Alberto's ashes into the sea from the tower. The lighthouse keeper and the businessman must live together for several days in the lighthouse until the south wind blows and thus they can throw the ashes into the sea. But the coexistence will be marked by the shadow of the friend and dead brother.

The film is written and directed by Álvaro García-Capelo, who presented the movie at the BCN Film Fest on April 27. This is the director's second film after his debut in 2002 with 'Canícula', starring Nathalie Seseña and Antón Reixa.

'Viento Sur' stars Will Keen ('The Crown' series) in the role of Robert; and María Fernández Ache ('Verdades ocultas'') in the role of Mónica. The actors are a couple in real life and have a daughter, also an actress Dafne Keen ('Logan'), who appears in the film with her parents. The cast is completed by Camila Arranz Villalva, Aitor Merino and Marta Poveda.
