'Vesper' was entirely shot in Vilnius, Lithuania. Most of the film was shot outdoors except for the house and the farm scenes, which were shot in a studio.
Visual effects
While visual effects are shown in the movie, they are mostly there to make a better shot with a plant or a ship, as no scenes were actually shot against a green screen.
Vesper has been in the making for a long time
The movie has been six years in the making for the directors and writers Kristina Buozyte and Bruno Samper, who had already collaborated on Aurora in the year 2012.
Eco-horror
Movies which build their plot around human impact in nature and its horrible consequences are not a new thing in cinema. In fact, ecologic horror or eco-horror started halfway through last century with movies like Godzilla of Ishiro Honda.
Vesper's flying drone
In some of the shots in the movie, the flying drone was made by CGI because the real drone was very loud and actors couldn't concentrate on their lines when it was flying.
