Summer in red

'Verano en rojo' is based on the famous writer and journalist Berna Gónzalez-Harbour's novel, the first of the four novels that follow the adventures of its two main characters: commissar María Ruiz and veteran journalist Luna, about a double homicide. They will have to follow the leads to solve an horrible case.

Commissar María Ruiz (played by Marta Nieto) face a very dark crime in the summer of 2010. A young boy is found murdered with no visible identity, mobile phone or clues at the beginning. Commisser María is a stubborn and meticulous woman, that's why she will follow the investigation of the case after a second victim is found and everything gets more messy. María won't investigate on her own, she will have a partner: an old journalist named Luna (played by José Coronado), an expert of journalism and totally blocked because of the digital era and the current crisis.

This journalist will be very important to solve this case which will lead both of the characters into the open doors of a prestigious religious order. The movie is directed by Belén Macías and in the cast we can find Luis Callejo, Franceso Carril, Richard Sahagún, Marc Martínez Tomás del Estal and Zoe Arnao, among others. It also counts with the special collaboration of Ramón Aguirre.
