Vasil

From the hand of the director and screenwriter Avelina Prat, comes 'Vasil', a film that talks about immigration, and Prat's debut feature. The cast is made up of Ivan Barnev, who plays the protagonist of the story, Vasil, accompanied by Karra Elejalde, who plays the retired Alfredo, Alexandra Jiménez as Luisa, Sue Flack in the role of Maureen, and Susi Sánchez who plays Carmen The cast is completed by Lorena López (Marga), Pepo Blasco (Yorgos) and Pepa Juan (Mercedes). 'Vasil' has been produced with the Activist38 and Distinto Films studios, with Filmax as its distributor in Spain.

This feature film tells us the story of Vasil, a very intelligent man, a great bridge and chess player, and very charismatic, however, he lives and sleeps on the street since he arrived from his country, Bulgaria. One day, a retired architect named Alfredo welcomes him in his home for a while, much to the surprise of his daughter Luisa. These men have nothing to do with each other, they have nothing in common, except for one thing: their passion and enthusiasm for chess. Despite the differences that separate them, little by little Vasil will manage to destroy the obstacles and barriers raised by Alfredo. And it is that our protagonist has a great ability: to change forever those with whom they relate on their way.
