Urfin and His Wooden Soldiers

Wicked Urfin arrives to Oz to rule this magical land. His goal is to become the king of Emerald City thanks to his army of wooden soldiers, and wants to change its name to Urfinville. An evil plan that needs to be stopped by young Dorothy. The girl with magic shoes arrives unwillingly to Oz and will find along the way with the Scarecrow, the Tin Woodman, and the Cowardly Lion. They will all join in order to defeat Urfin, and Dorothy will also have the help of her inseparable dog Toto. But it will not be simple... to overthrow Urfin, they will have to find out his real identity first.

Russian animation directors Fyodor Dmitriev, Darina Shmidt and Vladimir Toropchin get together to take this story to the big screen, based on the novel by Aleksandr Volkov, creator of an alternate stories saga for 'The Wizard of Oz' in his home Russia.
