Plot
In a place in the north of Tunisia, laborers, men and women, work under the incessant sun collecting figs. Everything seems normal, the days go by and they are not distracted from their work, until the break arrives. When workers take refuge under the shadows of the trees, debates about their thoughts, beliefs and even ideologies surface... no one is afraid to express their opinion.
This film tells the feelings that are hidden behind each brigade of farmers. They and the viewers will witness the true sorrows and dreams that go around inside his head. With a common bond: luck is not on your side.
'Taht alshara' is the second feature film by the French director and screenwriter Erige Sherini. Sherini has focused on her filmography to the documentary especially in shorts, were she. has a huge succsess. Now, once years after his last film 'Mawsem Hisad' was released, he returns to theaters with this intimate dissertation of the aspirations and frustrations of Tunisian farm workers.
Abdelhak Mrabti, Fedi Ben Achour, Gaith Mendassi, Hneya Ben Elhedi Sbahi, Leila Ouhebi, Firas Amri, Fide Fshili, Samar Sifi or Ameni Fdhili, are just some of the actors who will play day laborers in Sherini's fiction. After being delayed, the film arrives in theaters on July 14, 2023.
